Helping the campers choose their daily elective activities.

Ensuring that campers are maintaining a healthy diet.

Ensuring bunk cleanliness.

Helping to resolve any disputes or dilemmas among the cabin mates.

Being available to any camper that needs additional attention.

These are the core elements of being a counselor and always are given top priority.

He/She may chaperone their campers to an activity and assist in the operation of that activity area, or he/she may help in the operation of one of the other activities. The main purpose of the General Counselor is to provide a consistent source of authority, especially to younger campers, who need additional attention at their activities and in their cabins.

Qualified applicants for this position should have a solid understanding of residential camping. Previous experience working with children is preferred.
