Day Camp Program for Ages 5-16 Enroll for Summer 2018
Eagle Hill Day Camp is an exceptional day program that runs on the grounds of our camp in Elizaville, NY, just eight miles north of Red Hook. Our day campers range in age from 5-16 years old and join us from all over Columbia and Dutchess Counties.
We offer a well-balanced program, varied session lengths, lots of adults providing warmth and excellent supervision, and small camp groups. Quite often, our day camp serves as a bridge into our sleepaway program and many of our day campers become sleepaway campers shortly after experiencing all of the fun of our day program!

Well-balanced mix of sports, waterfront, arts and more!
The summer camp program at Eagle Hill is a dynamic one, designed to give our campers a chance to explore, create, learn, exercise and above all else, have fun! Our program creates common experiences for our campers and helps in the development of great friendships.
We believe that camp days should be active! With this in mind, each camp day is set up to provide some physical activity through either sports programming or participation in a number of optional activities that are physical in nature (e.g. getting to the top of our climbing tower, rowing a boat, taking a dance or gymnastics class or mountain biking around camp). At the same time, we realize the importance of campers having input into their daily activity choices. At Eagle Hill, we have a tone of optional activities, many of which are a little more relaxed in nature (e.g. editing a video, playing a guitar, catching a fish, or creating some pottery). A full day at Eagle Hill is filled with all kinds of opportunities.

Friendly, dedicated and family-run since 1963!
The Eagle Hill Day Camp Director, Toba Duggan, supervises our program and is personally responsible for the care of each and every day camper. Toba joins her brother, Jesse, each summer as an integral part of the management of Eagle Hill. She is a 3rd Grade Teacher with the Mount Vernon Board of Education and the mother of three daughters, all of whom have been campers for many years at Eagle Hill. As a former camper and longtime staff member, Toba understands the value and worthwhile nature of the kind of camp experience children can have at Camp Eagle Hill.
Our camp staff is comprised of a combination of experienced adult professionals and reliable enthusiastic counselors. All staff members are hired for their warm and caring personalities and their ability to provide an excellent level of supervision to our campers. Our group size is small, typically 5-7 children in a group. Two counselors work directly with each group, supervising the group and guiding them through a full camp day.

What Your Child Should Bring To Camp Camp Eagle Hill Store
We will be supplying your child/children with a Camp t-shirt at the beginning of their camp session. A Camp Eagle Hill Apparel Catalogue, which will allow you, at your option, to order items imprinted with our Camp Eagle Hill logo, can be found by clicking on the button above. All items ordered will be delivered to your family directly to your home. Should you have any questions, we ask that you call Bunkline Outfitters directly at the phone number provided at their website.
The following items should be sent to camp with your child/children each day:
- 2 Bathing Suits, Sun Hat or Cap, Light Rain Jacket/Sweatshirt, 2 Towels, Baseball Glove/Tennis Racket/Soccer Shin Guards, Sunscreen, Change of Clothes (if wearing shorts to camp, it’s nice to have a pair of pants at camp for quick weather changes), Small collection of toiletries (comb or brush and other items you might like your child to at camp).
- NOTE: We will be able store, at your family’s option, some or all of the items above so that you need not pack these things each camp day.
Safety is our #1 priority!
All of our camp forms needed for Day Camp can be submitted to us online through an outside company, CampDoc.com. We will be supplying all e-mail addresses to CampDoc.com for those families that have enrolled with us. CampDoc.com will be inviting you by e-mail to create an account with their site (using a password that you will set up) and then you will be able to take just a short time to fill out all of the forms needed for this camp season.
All campers must have a Medical Form on file with us before the start of our camp season. Your child/children will have to have a physical examination with your doctor’s office prior to camp. If your child has had a physical exam on September 1st, 2017 or thereafter, it is not necessary to go for another visit. There will be only one form that will have to be filled out “the old fashioned way”, on paper: This is a two page form that your child’s physician will need to fill out for us. You can print this form in your account at CampDoc.com. Once the doctor’s office has completed this form, it can be scanned in at your account on CampDoc.com.
New Prescription Policy: If your child will need to have any medication at camp dispensed by our Camp Infirmary on a regular basis each camp day, we now will be asking you to have a prescription for this medication filled at McCarthy’s Pharmacy in Stanfordville, NY. McCarthy’s will be pre-dosing and packaging any prescription or over the counter medications as well as any vitamins that must be taken at camp daily and dispensed by our nurses. If a child has any “medications as needed”, an inhaler, a puff disc for asthma or an epi-pen, these items can be sent in their original containers. Please make sure that all medications are labeled clearly with your child’s name and with the directions for dosage and use. We will need to have doctor’s orders by way of a prescription (in your CampDocs account) for any prescribed medications in order for our nursing staff to dispense it to your child.
We Would Love To Hear From You!
