2024 Day Camp Dates and Rates

Eagle Hill Day Camp is an exceptional day program that runs on the grounds of our beautiful camp facility in Elizaville, NY, just eight miles north of Red Hook. Our day campers range in age from 4-15 years old and join us from all over Columbia and Dutchess Counties.

We offer a well-balanced program, varied session lengths, lots of adults providing warmth and excellent supervision and small camp groups. Quite often, our day camp serves as a bridge into our sleepaway program. Many of our day campers become sleepaway campers shortly after experiencing all of the fun of our day program!

Our Program

Well-balanced mix of sports, waterfront, arts and more!

The summer camp program at Eagle Hill is a dynamic one, designed to give our campers a chance to explore, create, learn, exercise and above all else, have fun! Our program creates common experiences for our campers and helps in the development of great friendships.

We believe that camp days should be active! With this in mind, each camp day is set up to provide some physical activity through either sports programming or participation in a number of optional activities that are physical in nature (e.g. getting to the top of our climbing tower, rowing a boat, taking a dance or gymnastics class or mountain biking around camp). At the same time, we realize the importance of campers having input into their daily activity choices. At Eagle Hill, we have a ton of optional activities, many of which are a little more relaxed in nature (e.g. editing a video, playing a guitar, catching a fish, or creating some pottery). A full day at Eagle Hill is filled with all kinds of opportunities.

    Our Directorship/Staff

Friendly, dedicated and family-run since 1963!

The Eagle Hill Day Camp Director, Toba Duggan, supervises our program and is personally responsible for the care of each and every day camper. Toba joins her brother, Jesse, each summer as an integral part of the management of Eagle Hill. Toba is a former 3rd grade teacher with the Mount Vernon Board of Education and the mother of three daughters, all of whom have been campers and staff members for many years at Eagle Hill. As a former camper and longtime staff member, Toba understands the value and worthwhile nature of the kind of camp experience children can have at Camp Eagle Hill.

Our camp staff is comprised of a combination of experienced adult professionals and reliable enthusiastic counselors. All staff members are hired for their warm and caring personalities and their ability to provide an excellent level of supervision to our campers. Our groups are moderate in size, with typically 8-10 children in a group. Two counselors work directly with each group, supervising the group and guiding them through a full camp day.

    Medical Concerns

Your child’s care is our #1 priority!

A camp infirmary building staffed by two or three camp nurses, sits in the middle of our camp facility. Our nurses are available at all times to help any child in need of any type of medical attention.

Day Camp medical forms can be submitted to us online through a parent portal provided by an outside company called CampManagement.com. Their platform is called CampSite. When you enroll for camp, you will receive a password to get you into a “Parent Dashboard” allowing you to then complete all of our electronic medical forms needed for this camp season.

All campers must have a Medical Form on file with us before the start of our camp season. Your child/children will have to have a physical examination with your doctor’s office prior to camp. We will supply this form and all information needed before the start of the camp season.
