The team at Camp Eagle Hill ensures that a child’s first visit to summer camp is an inviting, positive experience. Young campers in grades one through six live within divisions as Lower Inters and Upper Inters. They benefit from our small camp groups and a high staff to camper ratio of two counselors for every seven children. Eagle Hill is known for its caring and nurturing staff of parents, teachers and coaches.

A day at Eagle Hill for our young campers features a balanced program of 50 percent group activities and 50 percent camper selected daily activities. This gives these young campers the opportunity to develop bonds with other campers and at the same time express their individuality through their camp programming each day.

Younger campers eat their meals with their group. There is a downtime after lunch and a hot shower each day before dinner. Dinner is followed by a free play time. Campers often enjoy a nightly snack at the Eagle Hill Sweet Shop and time under the stars by the bunk area as the day winds down. This helps young campers relax and develop an enjoyable bedtime routine at the end of each Eagle Hill day.

While participation is a significant part of our camp program at Eagle Hill, our staff is trained to encourage, not force all of our campers to participate. We want camp to be a fun place for everyone at all times. We try to make each activity as inviting as possible so that even reluctant campers can’t resist jumping in and having fun.  Our program ensures that every Eagle Hill camper is involved based on their level of interest, age and skill.
